Traning :
In France, the licence of "moniteur national de ski" is compulsory for all paid activities. It is delivered after the obtention of a BEES (brevet d'état d'éducateur sportif) 1rst degree, option alpin skiing or nordic.

Background

The majority of ski instructors are working as independant workers. To work in France they receive the authorisation to teach from one of the Council Sport Offices - Directions Départementales de la Jeunesse et Sport (DDJS).
